Diagnosis...

SADD
(stitcher's attention deficit disorder)

One morning I'll pick this up
and
put a few stitches in it...
the next morning
I may be feeling a little punchy,
so I pick this up
and
punch a few stitches
before heading to work...

and then
some evenings
to unwind
before I turn in
for the evening
I may stitch
a couple letters
of the alphabet
on this piece...

I heard that the best medicine for SADD
is to just start
another
fun
new project...
This is what makes
us with SADD,
HAPPY!

One can never
have too many
things
going at once!
Right?

You are all with me on
this, right???

With thy Needle & Thread,
Brenda

I am sitting right with you on the topic of SADD! But you keep coming out with these great designs. What is a stitcher to do ..... But start another project :-)

I'm with you all the way. Well said.

I'm so sorry (NOT!) to hear of your diagnosis. It sounds very similar to QADD. And you're so very right - the only solution is to start another project. I was just sitting here thinking that I need to get started on a new BOM that i signed up for. I have been sewing hexagons together for days, and crocheting, and stitching. It must be time for some applique!

I am two blocks from Finish on one small quilt. Still working on the SOAR piece. Four blocks into an applique Christmas quilt, I take my embroidery piece to school to work on at break. Not to mention several UFO pieces I have put away. So, I have the same diagnosis..Now I am looking at finishing a crocheted afghan my grandmother had started years ago...

I totally understand SADD, but you're just plain teasing us with the little peeks of all the cute things to come!

I too have SADD. I did not know somebody else had it too. I am going to run home and try your remedy. It couldn't hurt! :)

Is that like what I have, in that all day at work, I think about getting home, getting my chores there done, so I can sit down to stitch? And to make it through my day, I have to surf stitching sites a few times a day???

I'm with you, Brenda! I have 4 things going on right now: 1 sketch for a calendar image, 1 bumble bee just about stitched and painted from a friend's pattern, 1 stitchery of an inspirational verse I designed, and am waiting for the glue to dry on a primitive strawberry pinkeep.

But...it's what makes the creative world go round!

You go!!

Of course we're with you. What would life be if we couldn't have at least five (?) projects on the go. Sometimes I envy people who can start a project and see it through to the end before they start something else, but I think it's more fun to be able to hop from one thing to another. There's never time for boredom to set in. Love all your beautiful patterns.

So that's what I've been suffering from, lol! I've been flitting from one stitch to another and can't seem to settle on one for any length of time. Guess I'd better start a new one! Thanks for the excuse!!

I think I have CADD - Crafter's Attention Deficit Disorder. I flit from one craft project to another. I don't think they'll ever find a cure for these disorders, do you?
