Each morning I awake to find this guy
in my backyard.
I think
he thinks
he lives here...
{sigh}
in my backyard.
I think
he thinks
he lives here...
{sigh}
He is an un-neutered male.
{sigh}
He is skinny at times.
{sigh}
I don't think he comes from a loving home,
{sigh, again}
and I'm trying my hardest to pretend
he's not there...
because it makes me
want to cry.
Remember, I have a kitty,
a kitty
in which I love to death.
I do not need another kitty.
Repeat after me...
I do not need another kitty!!
We are surrounded by neighbors whom own kitties,
5 to be exact.
They all
have their own kitties
lounging in their yards...
we do not,
so this is why this boy thinks
our yard
is his yard.
He guards it with his almighty!
I just wish he'd find somewhere else
to do his number 1 job,
rather then on my Stella Lillies...
He may be skinny,
but his sprayer
works...
{sigh}
Oh and kitty,
whatever your name is?
When you have some free time
in between your catnaps...
see those weeds,
and
the bark
the birds have kicked out
in search of insects???
They can be put into that thing called
a wheel barrow...
I'd appreciate it
immensely.
Have a good day everyone,
Brenda

oh bless .. he is a handsome chap and they do say they always pick the ones that don't want them but end up having them ..lol cats chose owners rather than the owners choosing the cat .... love mouse xxxx
ReplyDeleteHe's a beautiful boy that I believe has adopted you. I think you need to sign his adoption papers and seal the deal between the 2 of you.
ReplyDeleteYou know God puts angels in the strangest places and in the most interesting forms....all 5 of our kitties joined us the same way,they showed up and stayed, each giving us unimaginable gifts and love.
Oh he is a handsome fellow. We all at one point have a had a pet we didn't pick out or plan. Best of luck to you.

He reminds me of my Garfield. He was one of our (neutered) outside kitties that vanished 3 years ago.
ReplyDeletehe is so pretty. When I first saw this, I went OMG how did Thomas, our cat get to your house???? LOL
ReplyDeleteI have 2 strays/adopted cats and they are the most loving. Well, except the oldest cat didn't like me bringing a kitty home and he became stoic after that. LOL

He is not only very handsome, he is very wise! He knows where he belongs....
ReplyDeleteHe NEEDS you! I found my orange baby (or I should say he found me) and he is the biggest mush on the face of the earth. I am so glad I got him off the street. If nothing else get him neutered so he doesn't spend his life fighting and creating more homeless babies!
ReplyDeleteBig sigh.......
I had a back yard kitty I tried to ignore for months, then gave in. I have 4 house cats, so inside wasn't an option, but we enjoyed our outdoor time together. 2 days after I ordered him a great house for the winter he disappeared. I still miss him, wish I had taken care of him earlier, and still hope he will come back to my yard. I try to think that someone actually opened their home to him...

He is so handsome! I do believe you have become the chosen one for him, it's destiny and you know you can't fight destiny! ;^)
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful kitty--it's so sad that he needs a home and family. He probably senses that you'll cave in to his charming good looks! But I did have to laugh at your delightful description of his actions with your lilies!! I do hope someone will come along to give him a home...You??
ReplyDeleteOh Brenda....but he looks so at "home" in his...er...I mean your...yard! One smart kitty cat to choose someone who he knows has a big heart....??? Good luck! Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin
ReplyDeleteAwwwwww, poor thing. Looks like he has no one to love him. Maybe that's why he picked your yard to laze in. He's a beautiful cat. If you have a nice roofed area, you could put a litter box outside for him...
ReplyDeleteI know why he likes your yard besides a friendly atmosphere...birds!
ReplyDeleteHope I'm wrong.

Hmmmm, this is how we "adopted" our most recent kitty...He is now neutered and the biggest mush ever. But, I know what you mean--I was so worried the other night when a lovely cat followed me most of the way home as I had my evening walk. I was so glad when he turned into a house with new owners and parked on THEIR porch, lol!
ReplyDeleteI ended up with four this way! Our local SPCA has a great neutering, shots, and defleaing program that's really low cost.... It's the least you could do to help this fella out, isn't it?? Good luck, Mary A
ReplyDeleteLove him. Give him a home.

I'm with Joanie--this sweet boy reminds me of Tom Cat, the cat we had when I was growing up. He would disappear for 2-3 days and then drag himself home with torn up ears and sleep it off for a couple of days. We never had a litter box and he never had an accident! People didn't spay and neuter back then. I had two cats and acquired my mom's two elderly cats this summer since the dementia unit she has moved to doesn't allow pets. I didn't plan on FOUR cats, but it's working out!
ReplyDeleteOh my he is gorgeous! I also had an unneutered male show up last year. I felt sorry for him and started feeding him outside. He has stuck around ever since but never bothers a thing. A real sweetheart he is!
ReplyDeleteGood luck :)
What a nice boy he is! We, too, have an outside cat who likes to visit us. He enjoys boxing with our cats through the glass door and having us pay attention to him. Since our cats don't go outside, we think of him as our outdoor kitty. He has a good home across the street, but he seems to wander the neighborhood freely. He's quite the mouser and unfortunately has made dinner of a few birds as well.
ReplyDeleteWhat a handsome fellow he is! He sure looks like he belongs there.
ReplyDeleteOne of my previous cats chose us in this manner but that was before my DH arrived on the scene. Being married to a dog lover I'm lucky to have the one kitty that remains. I never give up trying though. Clarisse could use some company!
What happened to the kitty, Brenda? I found a cat in a park five months ago, after losing my beloved first cat three months earlier. I also had two other beautiful kitties, and was not ready for this one. But he has given us so much love and brought so much joy to our home. This one has chosen you.
