P.S. Question for you...how many of you are guilty of applying blue malted milk eggs to your lips for a smashing blue lipstick??? Come on, fess up...I'm surely not the only one that does this!!
I can't say that i honestly ever heard of doing this! funny thought - LOL
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, next to Halloween, Easter is my favorite. Could it be the candy? Love, love, love the candy. Thanks for the sneak peek. I am so excited, but I always am when it comes to your designs. You are the best! Hope you are having a wonderful day. I do enjoy reading your blog, it is one of my must do's everyday.
ReplyDeleteI don't have the Easter peep from a couple of years ago done for my granddaughter yet and now you are tempting me with a bunny that I MUST make for her and for my twin grandsons for next year when they are old enough. No fair!!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh. I just knew we were not the only ones. My friend and I would take the eggs and use them as lipstick and also would draw designs and words on our cheeks. Every year I buy like 6 bags the minute I see them. They have to be the hard shell kind not the malted eggs that are just dipped in the white colored chocolate. They don't work. Once home with my stash I paint my lips and come out to show my hubby ( who thinks I'm to weird) and he knows easter for sure is on the way.
ReplyDeleteTo Funny!~
I confess I have never done that. I also confess I am going to give it a try.
ReplyDeleteI love Jordon almonds. I think it must be the colors.
What a giggle...I've never done that, but I'm going to.
ReplyDeleteOnce you do it as a kid you don't go back. Can't wait to see your new designs ~ always a tease!
ReplyDeleteI do have to tell you ~ I was at Primitive Gatherings yesterday and I bought one of your patterns there and as soon as I mentioned your name everyone in the shop brought up the Walter thing. I think you are a star! (or maybe your Husband)
Prim Blessings! Robin
Yes, GUILTY. And I will never forget the day we came home from Southern Utah from Easter weekend and I had just painted my lucious lips with a beautiful shade of pale blue. I thought I was beautiful until my brother said to me, "You're a red-headed, freckled-face, BLUE-LIP MONSTER"!!!!! How rude, I thought, but I can honestly say after that remark I never again painted my lips blue. Sad, huh.......
ReplyDeleteBrenda, I am SO guilty of painting my lips with the blue eggs. I can't find ones that do that anymore! Sue L in Denmark, WI
ReplyDeleteOf course, I painted my lips malted milk egg blue. There are people out there who didn't do that? The next thing you'll tell us is that they didn't catch lightning bugs or shoot marbles. What is the world coming to? Beside beautiful new patterns!
ReplyDeleteI have not done that but you have given me ideas! Looking forward to your designs. The Easter Bunny can't come fast enough here in North Carolina!
ReplyDeleteHmmm, I've never tried that!! I was probably too busy inhaling the candy to think about letting them touch my lips, LOL.
ReplyDeleteI stitched your Mary's Best Handework and personalized it for my husband's great-grandmother. I put pics and a bit about her up on my blog, if you get a second or two to look! I really enjoyed the design. Now I need to get my nerve up to do punch needle... or convince my daughters to do it for me!
I did it once when my son was little and scared the daylights out of him. I waited until he was older (a couple of years ago-he's 29 :0)) and he just shook his head - he's used to me now! Am I the only one who break Peeps apart to let them get chewy?
ReplyDeleteI'm loling at the thought of blue lips. I never did it since I never liked the malted milk things. My sister did though. I guess since I was older had never done it all I though was she was silly. :)
ReplyDeleteoh boy! Blue malted eggs...the ones that look like Robins eggs!!! YUM! ;oD
