this hat shows up in the mail.
A buffalo plaid hat, lined with fur from some poor critter...I don't even want to think, know or go there. This hat is equipped with tiny little flaps on the sides to snap up or to leave open...exposing 2 cute little "metal-ish" air vents. I mean this is one special hat folks.(as in Walter Matthau...Grumpier Old Men)
Not that he looks like him or anything.
I'm just sayin...
Oh, and honey if you should happen upon this blog today, "THANK YOU" for my new camera lens...the zoom on it is awesome! Why not only can I photograph birds, but Holy Moly I can even stand up in the landing of the hallway on the second story, open the window, hang my body halfway out the window on a subzero day and take a picture of you in your cute little "Walter Hat"... Oh, and one more thing...don't even THINK about putting a stinky dead fish in my car...
Thanks honey, I love you!
Brenda
LOL! What will you think of next!!!
ReplyDeleteLOL....too funny!!!
ReplyDeleteToo cute!!
ReplyDeleteOmigosh, Brenda! I am in fits of giggles reading your blog entry today! I love, love the Grumpy Old Men movies, so I totally get the connection. You have a gift of writing the whole thing out for us, too! Here's hoping no dead fish end up in your car!
ReplyDeleteWell, no matter how Walter-ish it looks, seems just the thing for the chore he's tackling!
ReplyDeleteNow that is funny!
ReplyDelete~~Patti~~
I did a double take when I saw your picture. I'm rereading Catcher in the Rye and the main character has a hat that I envision very much like this. Your description of getting the picture had me smiling. I think the "Walter" look is perfect for the weather.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giggle! No, your DH doesn't look ANY thing like a grumpy old man!
ReplyDeleteI call my husband "Elmer Fudd" when he wears his hat that's just like your husbands.
ReplyDeleteGo ahead...you can use that one too!
Love the hat... real fur and all !
ReplyDeleteNice photos with the new zoom lens !
Hugs,
Linda
LOL!Thanks for the laugh today!
ReplyDeleteLOL! This is too funny:)
ReplyDeleteHa! Funny. My husband has a hat similar to this somewhere around here. He use to wear it when the girls were teenagers and they would be so embarrassed when they had friends over. I am not sure what has happened to that hat because I know it kept him warm. I love the Walter reference. I'll have to remember that if hubs hat ever surfaces again.
ReplyDeleteThanks for making my day! Love the pics. I love to wear my husbands hat like that when I shovel snow~so warm! LOL I hope nobody calls me Walter! Prim Blessings! Robin

ReplyDeleteHow cute is he!? Your husband, that is, not Walter!
ReplyDeleteYou are too funny! If your DH does read this post, I'm sure we'd all Love to hear what he says!
ReplyDeleteI had to laugh! We SELL tons of these hats at my work! Can't keep them in stock! I guess they must work pretty well, but I'd prefer the ones without the fur.
ReplyDeleteHe looks like a lumberjack!
